From the shop the van runs Calhoun to the Crosstown and drops onto the James Island Connector, which puts us on Folly Road in about twelve minutes. Harbor View Road turns off toward the older neighborhoods along the creek; Maybank Highway leads to Riverland Terrace, Wappoo Creek and the Plymouth Avenue blocks; Fort Johnson Road runs out to the point and Secessionville. Camp Road cuts across the middle and reaches the streets behind the charter high school. The island is compact enough that a technician who starts in Riverland Terrace can be at Fort Johnson within fifteen minutes, so a late-morning call usually finds a window the same afternoon.
